Missouri State football reveals new Plaster Stadium field design

Missouri State football has revealed the new field design that will soon replace the turf at Plaster Stadium as the school prepares for Conference USA.

The project, which will cost just north of $1.8 million, will commence Monday and will take approximately six weeks to finish, with a target completion of May 20.

In addition to the Conference USA logos, the field will feature a new cursive script reading “Mo State” in both endzones, replacing the academic font. The midfield traditional Bears head logo will be in the middle of a 40-yard Missouri outline.

The Pivot Performance Turf surface will be backed by a 12-year warranty.

Missouri State will make its final appearance on the outgoing turf during Saturday’s 1 p.m. Maroon and White Game. The scrimmage will feature 12-minute quarters with a running clock, weather pending.

Missouri State’s first actual game on the turf will be played Sept. 13 against SMU, which is coming off a College Football Playoff appearance.
