Tennessee is looking to make a strong impression on a 2026 football recruit.
Four-star defensive line prospect Richard Wesley is set to visit Tennessee on April 15. Tennessee will be the last of three schools he is scheduled to visit, along with Ohio State (April 4) and Texas A&M (April 11).
Tennessee became the fifth school to offer Wesley a scholarship on Nov. 2, 2023. Additional SEC scholarship offers for the 2026 prospect include Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas and Ole Miss.
Wesley reclassified from the class of 2027 on March 7. He has a background as a multi-sport athlete, also competing in basketball and track.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect is from Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, California. He is a five-star in 247Sports Composite rankings for the class of 2026.
The Vols have eight commitments for their 2026 recruiting class: Quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, defensive lineman Tyson Bacon, linebacker Braylon Outlaw and defensive lineman C.J. Edwards.
