Tennessee football and head coach Josh Heupel offered a scholarship to 2027 prospect Jarrell Chandler.
The 6-foot-2, 197-pound cornerback is from Halls High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“After a great conversation with Willie Martinez, I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Chandler announced.
Chandler totaled 55 tackles, one tackle for a loss, seven pass deflections and one interception in 2024 for Halls (8-4). The Red Devils advanced to the second round of the TSSAA Class 5A playoffs before being eliminated by West High School (Knoxville, Tennessee).
The 2027 prospect has scholarship offers from the Vols, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, SMU, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin. Georgia Tech was the first Power Four school to offer Chandler on Jan. 30.
Jason Julian and Randy Hall were also from Halls and played for Tennessee under head coach Johnny Majors. The Vols do not have a commitment in their 2027 recruiting class.
