The Georgia Bulldogs could be getting a major commitment soon. Four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux will be committing to one of his top six schools on Saturday, April 5 at 2:00 p.m. ET, according to 247Sports. Redeaux will choose among Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, Washington or USC.
Redeaux is a four-star running back in the class of 2026. The 5-football, 195-pound running back plays football and track at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California. 247Sports writer Greg Biggins compared Redeaux to Jahmyr Gibbs, writing that he has blazing speed. In track, he ran a 10.42 time in the 100 meter dash and 21.32 time in the 200 meter dash.
The four-star is projected to land with the USC Trojans. USC is just 40.4 miles away from his hometown.
Georgia offered him a scholarship in Aug. 2023. Redeaux is the fifth-ranked running back and 94th prospect in the nation in the class of 2026. He is also the 13th-best recruit from California.
Georgia is still looking for their first running back commitment in the 2026 class. They’ve landed wide receivers Vance Spafford and Brady Marchese, along with tight end Lincoln Keyes, on the offensive side, but they still have plenty of work to do to raise their class ranking from 20th.
Then again, Georgia fans may have to wait until after early signing period to celebrate. Top running back Ousmane Kromah flipped from Georgia to Florida State on the first day of the period during the 2025 cycle.
