notre dame spring injury Guerby lambert offensive line starter

For the most part, Notre Dame football has stayed injury free during its spring practices, with the only major injury occurring to wide receiver Micah Gilbert, however, that changed on Saturday.

Irish head coach Marcus Freeman had another disappointing injury update, as he shared that offensive tackle Guerby Lambert will miss the rest of the spring after having shoulder surgery to correct a lorn labrum.

The rising sophomore played in a few games during his first year, but mostly on special teams. Lambert was expected to compete for one of the five starting positions, but that won’t be the case this spring.

The good news is that his season isn’t in jeopardy, as Freeman did also mention that he should be full-go when fall camps rolls around. That is great news, as Notre Dame will hopefully have the former top-50 prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings ready to contribute in another College Football Playoff run.
