Clemson cornerback the Tigers’ first post-spring transfer departure

A Clemson football player is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on April 16.

According to multiple reports, redshirt freshman cornerback Tavoy Feagin plans to explore his options and will have four years of eligibility remaining. Feagin appeared in just two games last season for the Tigers, playing 11 total snaps on defense while redshirting.

The 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back did not participate in last weekend’s Orange & White Spring Game, and head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed afterward that Feagin was not present at Memorial Stadium.

Feagin made his college debut against App State on September 7, 2024, and also played against The Citadel in late November. Despite limited playing time, he came to Clemson with strong credentials. Feagin was an Under Armour All-American coming out of Carrollwood Day School in Tampa, Florida, and was ranked No. 173 overall in the 2023 class by Rivals, including the No. 22 cornerback in the country.

This is the Tigers’ first and possibly only departure in the spring, but there’s no telling who could take their talents elsewhere.
