Could Hugh Freeze and his staff flip the nation’s No. 1 wide receiver?
Five-star wide receiver Tristan Keys recently committed to LSU. However, Auburn is pushing to get him to reconsider his pledge to Brian Kelly and the Bayou Bengals.
The nation’s No. 1 wide receiver visited Auburn over the weekend, where he mingled with several players and watched Auburn’s spring practice drills. The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native enjoyed watching fellow Mississippian Deuce Knight work out, and he developed his relationship with wide receivers coach Marcus Davis.
After a successful visit, does Auburn have a shot at flipping him from SEC rival, LSU?
“For sure,” Keys said in an interview with Auburn Live.
Keys also said that despite LSU’s track record of producing top-tier wide receivers, Auburn will remain in the hunt due to Knight’s ability to “spin it.”
Keys is planning to return to Auburn for an official visit. He will also check out Miami, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas A&M before officially signing this December. Keys is a consensus five-star receiver from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and is considered the nation’s top receiver from the 2026 class by On3, Rivals, and 247Sports.
