4-star RB Deshonne Redeaux announces commitment

The Georgia Bulldogs have lost out on an elite running back recruit. Four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux announced that he’s committed to play for the USC Trojans. He chose USC over Georgia, Oregon, Michigan, and Washington.

Redeaux is a four-star running back in the class of 2026. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back plays football and track at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California. 247Sports writer Greg Biggins compared Redeaux to Jahmyr Gibbs, writing that he has blazing speed. In track, he ran a 10.42 time in the 100 meter dash and 21.32 time in the 200 meter dash.

Redeaux will go to the college that is about 40 miles away from his hometown in Westlake Village. Georgia offered him a scholarship in Aug. 2023, but did not do enough to beat out USC. Redeaux is the fifth-ranked running back and 94th prospect in the class of 2026. He is also the 13th-best recruit from California.

Georgia is still looking for a four- or five-star running back. The Bulldogs weren’t able to sign one in 2025, with running back Ousmane Kromah flipping from Georgia to Florida State. Overall, the Bulldogs have just the 26th ranked class after four-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman flipped to Miami.
