Tim Lester, the offensive coordinator, revamped Iowa’s offense and took them from the doldrums to a competent bunch that should continue to improve. LeVar Woods is arguably the best special teams coordinator in the country and has Iowa’s special teams constantly playing like a well-oiled machine.
On defense, Phil Parker is a mainstay for the Hawkeyes and churns out stingy defenses each year. Alongside him enters an intriguing name to watch in the sport. That is Seth Wallace, the assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator of the Hawkeyes.
Wallace, who has been at Iowa since 2015 in multiple capacities, is among ESPN’s top assistant coaches in all of college football.

Wallace is the son of a coach who has worked his way up at Iowa, serving alongside primary defensive playcaller Phil Parker.
