While there has been plenty of positive recruiting movement for Notre Dame football, there was bound to be some bad news and that happened on Tuesday with 5-star Texas offensive tackle Felix Ojo.

The 6-foot, 6-inch and 275-pound lineman had previously scheduled a visit to South Bend for this coming Thursday, but he went to social media to tell everyone that the visit will not be happening. The No. 25 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings will instead focus on teams like Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State and others.

It’s unfortunate news for the Irish, as Ojo is the last remaining top-100 tackle that they were recruiting hard. Notre Dame will now shift its focus to other recruits, but if there is one position that fans shouldn’t worry about in recruiting, it is on the offensive line. Other recruits will be the benefactor of Ojo’s decision, and while this isn’t what many of us wanted to hear, it’s the reality of recruiting.
