Illinois football added another commitment in the Class of 2026.
Three-star running back Javari Barnett announced his verbal commitment to the Fighting Illinois on social media Sunday night. The 6-foot, 205-pounder from Tampa, Florida, choose Illinois over offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Iowa, USC, Ole Miss and several others.
Barnett, who was limited to three games due to a knee injury, is ranked the as the No. 32 running back, according to the composite rankings. He rushed for 249 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries during the 2024 campaign.
This is the Illini’s 11th commitment in the class of 2026.
