Alabama softball moved up one spot in national polls following its first conference series loss at LSU.
The Crimson Tide moved from No. 23 to No. 22 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday.
Alabama (28-15, 5-7 SEC) was run-ruled 8-0 in the series opener before falling 2-1 on Saturday behind a season-low three hits. The Crimson Tide then bounced back and took down LSU, 8-5, on Sunday to avoid the sweep.
Alabama is one of 12 SEC teams ranked in the poll, alongside Texas (1), Oklahoma (2), Texas A&M (3), Tennessee (5), LSU (6), Florida (8), Arkansas (10), South Carolina (11), Mississippi State (15), Ole Miss (19) and Georgia (20).
Alabama softball returns to Rhoads Stadium next weekend for another SEC series against Oklahoma between Saturday, April 12 and Monday, April 14. It will be Alabama’s first time hosting the Sooners since the 2015 NCAA Super Regional.
