2025 Spring Position Preview: Breaking Down the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends for the Huskies!

Our Spring position preview keeps rolling with the wide receivers and tight ends! These are two groups that could be on the rise this season after a solid campaign all around in 2024!

Performance in 2024

Kevin Cummings and Jordan Paopao had an almost Herculean task in front of them when they got to Montlake before the start of the 2024 season. After so much talent left their respective position groups due to being drafted or entering the portal in 2023, the task of rebuilding these groups fell upon their shoulders. New stars emerged, and the Huskies got contributions from a wide variety of players at both receiver and tight end. Senior and veteran Husky Giles Jackson paced the receivers, with 85 receptions, 893 yards and 7 touchdowns, including 4 in a close loss in the Sun Bowl. Denzel Boston showed he could be a future WR1 with his length and explosiveness, hauling in 63 passes for 834 yards and 9 touchdowns. Jeremiah Hunter was third, with 36 catches, 490 yards and a single score. Rashid Williams (11 catches, 138 yards, 1 TD), Keith Reynolds (5 catches, 35 yards), and Audric Harris (2 catches, 17 yards) round out the Husky receivers with at least 1 catch.

Among the tight ends, Keleki Latu emerged as a reliable safety valve, doing some great work on tight end screens. He finished the season with 40 catches, 371 yards and 1 score. Freshman Decker Degraaf started his career off hot, with 2 touchdowns on his first 2 career catches. He finished the year with 3 touchdowns on 15 catches, racking up 233 yards. Quentin Moore was penciled in early as the starting tight end, but due to a knee injury in the Weber State game (on a dirty hit, in my opinion), he missed the entire 2024 season, finishing with a single catch for 14 yards.
