UCF Knights football: Players responding to Scott Frost coaching
UCF football coach Scott Frost spoke to reporters for the first time since March 11 after Saturday’s spring practice session.
UCF’s 2026 football recruiting class has gained four new commitments, bringing the total to eight.The Knights’ recruiting class is now ranked 34th nationally by 247Sports.Recent commits include wide receiver Tyren Wortham, safety Ja’Cari Jackson, tight end Charlie Jilek and linebacker Antoine Sharp.
In the space of a week, UCF’s 2026 football recruiting class has doubled.
Spring visits often lead to a commitment surge, and Scott Frost’s staff suddenly has some momentum. The Knights have eight verbal commits, vaulting up to 34th overall in 247Sports’ team composite rankings.
UCF has not landed any blue-chip prospects to date but laid a sturdy foundation upon which to build over the next eight months. Holding onto its largely underrated athletes will be a challenge as well as more prestigious, deeper-pocketed adversaries expand their respective recruiting boards.
