Michigan football lineman Alessandro Lorenzetti has entered the transfer portal.Lorenzetti, a former three-star recruit, did not play in any games during his three seasons at Michigan.Several other Michigan linemen have also transferred this offseason, including Andrew Gentry, Dominick Giudice, Raheem Anderson, and Jeff Persi.

Michigan football already knows it will be losing talent on the line thanks to the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. But it’s also losing some talent thanks to another culprit: the transfer portal.

Defensive lineman Alessandro Lorenzetti is entering the transfer portal, per 247Sports. Lorenzetti joined the Wolverines as a freshman in 2022, but hasn’t played in a game over his three seasons in maize and blue.

Lorenzetti was a three-star recruit as an offensive lineman out of Montreal and was named the scout team player of the week ahead of Michigan’s 2022 game against Michigan State.

He has struggled to stand out against more seasoned players and is likely looking for playing time, elsewhere.

ESPN ranked the 6-foot-5 Lorenzetti as the top high school recruit out of Connecticut in 2022, while Rivals listed him as the No. 3 recruit in the state. He has two years of college eligibility left.

The Wolverines will be losing top draft prospect Mason Graham to the NFL draft later in April. They’ve also lost other linemen to the portal already in 2025, including offensive linemen Andrew Gentry (to BYU), Dominick Giudice (to Missouri) and Raheem Anderson (to Western Kentucky).
