Elite lineman PJ Dean releases his top three schools

Four-star offensive/defensive lineman PJ Dean from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, has narrowed his college choices to three. His finalists are Georgia, Ohio State, and South Carolina. Dean has already scheduled official visits for this summer with both South Carolina and Georgia. A visit to Ohio State is anticipated to be added to his schedule soon.

The Georgia Bulldogs are recruiting him along the defensive line. Dean recently dropped from more than 300 pounds down to 260, and defensive line coach Tray Scott has taken over his recruitment for UGA.

“Right now, they (Georgia) are neck to neck with South Carolina; they’re my top two right now,” Dean said earlier this week. “Me and South Carolina, I’ve got that home feeling with them. Coach Shane Beamer and Coach (Kirby) Smart. I’m glad they’re neck and neck with it right now,” he told On3.

Georgia is being active in the recruiting scene because Georgia knows how much depth and talent is very important to a quest to a championship like head coach Kirby Smart knows.

247Sports ranks Dean as the No. 47 recruit in country and the No. 5 recruit in North Carolina.
