Nebraska football made the top six for class of 2026 wide receiver Jaylen Warren on Monday. He made the announcement on social media.
Warren is the 20th overall wide receiver in the 2026 class and the 19th overall player from the state of Texas, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is also the 140th overall player in the class.
Warren has no crystal ball predictions at this time. With that being said, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU, Houston, and Oklahoma all made his top six in addition to Nebraska.
The wideout has a busy summer ahead, as he has a visit to Arizona scheduled for May 30. SMU and Houston are also on his itinerary in June, as he will visit SMU on June 6 and Houston on June 12.
He has had a solid high school career to this point and exploded onto the scene last season. He recorded 26 catches for 613 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games played. According to statistics from Maxpreps.com, he was able to produce in his sophomore year, as he recorded seven catches for 140 yards and four touchdowns in seven games.
According to the 247Sports Team Rankings, the 2026 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 50th overall in the country with three commitments. Warren would be another big addition to the class. It will certainly be interesting to see how this recruitment plays out.
The Huskers will undoubtedly have their work cut out for them. Even still, the coaching staff is known for their recruiting in the state of Texas, and it’s difficult to count Matt Rhule and the coaching staff out of any recruitment.
