Wisconsin football added two key commitments to its class of 2026 this week.
Specifically, the program landed three-star defensive lineman Carmelow Reed on Monday, then three-star cornerback Carter Eloms on Tuesday, bringing its class of 2026 up to four players.
Eloms, 247Sports’ No. 67 cornerback and the No. 8 recruit from his home state of Indiana, elected to join UW’s program over opportunities at Michigan State and Purdue. Reed, 247Sports’ No. 57 defensive lineman and No. 13 recruit from Illinois, favored the Badgers over notable offers from LSU, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri and Ole Miss. The 6-foot-7, 250-pound prospect is currently UW’s top-ranked recruit with an ’88’ overall rating.
The two recent acquisitions joined three-star wide receiver Tayshon Bardo and three-star interior offensive lineman Benjamin Novak in Wisconsin’s class. Bardo committed to Wisconsin’s program back on March 11, while Novak offered his pledge on October 7.

New general manager Marcus Sedberry, who replaced former GM Max Stienecker after he left for USC, is now tasked with managing Wisconsin’s roster and recruiting department during a critical period.
Wisconsin did do well with the transfer portal window this winter, but the departure of Stienecker and his recruiting prowess was a major…
