Wisconsin football recruiting Nick Reddish finalists, commitment date

Three-star class of 2026 safety prospect Nick Reddish included the Wisconsin Badgers in his list of final schools on Sunday. 

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete whittled his extensive initial offer sheet, which featured over 20 opportunities, to five finalists. Notre Dame, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia Tech were listed alongside the Badgers. Reddish also announced that he will announce his commitment on July 11.

247Sports’ composite ranking considers the Independence High School product the No. 605 overall recruit in the class of 2026, the No. 47 safety and the No. 29 prospect from his home state of North Carolina. Reddish is set to officially visit Madison on May 30, the third of six trips scheduled for his 2025 summer visit window.

Reddish burst onto the scene during his sophomore year at Independence, totaling 95 total tackles, four interceptions, four fumble recoveries and three tackles for loss. His stock has only risen as he’s progressed through his high school career.

While Wisconsin is firmly in the mix to land the talented safety, 247Sports insider Eric Thomas released a crystal ball prediction on April 4, picking Reddish to Notre Dame. Thomas’ forecast aligns with On3’s recruiting prediction machine, which currently assigns an 89% likelihood that the Fighting Irish will land Reddish. Wisconsin, meanwhile, possesses just a 1.5% chance to snag a commitment, per On3.

Wisconsin’s activity in the class of 2026 has ballooned over the past few days — the Badgers landed cornerback Carter Eloms on Tuesday and defensive lineman Carmelow Reed on Monday. The two joined wide receiver Tayshon Bardo and offensive lineman Benjamin Novak in the team’s class. Reddish’s commitment, which would come after the summer official visit season, would only bolster that group in the spring window.
