5-star quarterback recruit Jared Curtis cancels Georgia football visit

Five-star quarterback recruit Jared Curtis is reportedly cancelling his visit with the Georgia Bulldogs ahead of his May 5 commitment date. Curtis, who is deciding between Georgia and the Oregon Ducks, is instead electing to attend his high school prom, which is a very reasonable decision for the young man. Curtis has already visited Georgia plenty of times over the years.

Curtis is Georgia’s top recruiting target in the class of 2026. His commitment will send ripple effects throughout Georgia’s recruiting class.

Curtis will bring a strong arm, ideal size and very good mobility to either Georgia or Oregon. The five-star could become UGA’s first five-star quarterback signee in several years or Oregon’s most notable recruiting victory in recent memory.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback is ranked as the top player at his position in the nation. Curtis plays football for Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. 247Sports ranks Curtis as the No. 2 recruit in the country and the best recruit in Tennessee.

Curtis was previously committed to Georgia from March to October 2024.
