Spring practice at the University of Georgia is winding down entering the Georgia Bulldogs’ annual spring game, G-Day. The 2025 edition of G-Day will be held at 1:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 12.
Georgia’s spring game is expected to feature a lot of passing like in previous seasons. However, Georgia could look to run the ball a little bit more this year after last season’s rushing decline.
Spring football is a time for optimism. Georgia has one of the most talented teams in the country, but the 2025 version of Georgia football is more unproven than previous teams. Georgia does not return as much experience as it did last year and has a new starting quarterback.
Who are four players to watch in Georgia’s spring game?
Quarterback Gunner Stockton
This is a pretty obvious one. Gunner Stockton is Georgia’s projected starting quarterback and has gone through his first spring as the starter. Stockton, a redshirt junior, brings experience and mobility to the position.

Wide receiver Zachariah Branch
Former USC Trojans wide receiver Zachariah Branch transferred to Georgia this offseason. Branch is a former five-star recruit with outstanding athleticism, but the biggest question is how will Georgia and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo maximize his production.
Branch averaged 39.0 receptions, 411.5 receiving yards and 1.5 touchdowns during two seasons at USC. Georgia needs to find creative ways to get Branch the ball in space and probably won’t unveil nifty new plays to get him the ball in the spring game.
