Intense practices like the ones the Ohio State football team is going through call for a little levity sometimes. The grind of grueling workouts and competition can take its toll on players and a team, so why not have a little fun to lighten things up a wee bit?
That’s apparently what some of the OSU players were doing this week when the Ohio State Football “X” account caught up with some of the players who decided to imitate some of their favorite coaches on staff. And while it’s all good fun, one has to wonder how this will go over in each of the position group meetings when they all get together next.
Some of the imitations were more aggressive than others, and some seemed to take place with the assistant coaches nearby. Somehow we feel like this isn’t the first time these imitations of coaches like Brian Hartline, Larry Johnson, James Laurinaitis, even — yes, Ryan Day have taken place. The players are now just putting on film for all to see, including the same coaches they boldly imitated.
If you haven’t seen the video shared by the Ohio State football creative team, it takes just a couple of minutes to watch the players have a little fun at the coaching staff’s expense.
Ohio State will hold its annual Spring Game on Saturday at Noon. Get your tickets, or look to take in all the action at Noon on Fox.
