OXFORD — Ole Miss football bolstered its 2026 recruiting class with an in-state commitment.
Cornerback Braylen Williams committed to the Rebels on April 11. The 6-foot, 174-pound prospect out of Tupelo is a three-star in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is ranked as the No. 90 cornerback nationally and the No. 35 player in Mississippi.
Williams chose to commit to coach Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss over offers from Mississippi State, Auburn, Arkansas and others.
He joins running back Ja’Michael Jones, wide receiver Jameson Powell and Zion Legree, who is listed as an athlete but has wide receiver experience, in the 2026 class.
The process for constructing rosters in college football may change completely in the coming months, depending on how a proposed settlement of three athlete-compensation antitrust cases against the NCAA and Power Four conferences shakes out.
Kiffin said he has discussed how to hit the ground running in event of changes, but he is keeping Ole Miss’ strategy close to the vest.
