OXFORD — Ole Miss football and coach Lane Kiffin have added a quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class.
Rees Wise committed to Ole Miss on April 14, according to On3. He is a 6-foot-2, 218-pound quarterback from Austin, Texas.
Wise is the starter at Westlake High school and a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is the No. 47 quarterback and the No. 120 player in Texas. Westlake is a traditional powerhouse in developing quarterbacks. Drew Brees, Sam Ehlinger and Cade Klubnik played there. Wise is heading into his senior season. He threw for 2,598 yards and 23 touchdowns last season.
Ole Miss has five players in its 2026 recruiting class. Wise is the first quarterback. He joins cornerback Braylen Williams, running back Ja’Michael Jones, receiver Jameson Powell and athlete Zion Legree.
Wise chose to be a Rebel over offers from Arizona, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and others.
