I am thankful for all of the teammates, coaches, and memories from The University of Michigan. With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years or eligibility

Michigan football is starting to hemorrhage players who aren’t likely to make the rotation in 2025, with defensive tackle Alessandro Lorenzetti, linebacker Jason Hewlett, wide receiver Amorion Walker, and cornerback Ja’Den McBurrows all opting for the transfer portal in recent days.
Add another to the list.
Thought to be something of a project, edge rusher Aymeric Koumba came from the international ranks, coached by PPI recruits’ Brandon Collier. It’s the same institution that produced current Michigan defensive tackle Manuel Beigel and former Wolverine Julius Welschof. However, Koumba announced on Monday that he’ll try his hand elsewhere, entering the transfer portal.
As Koumba mentions, he has three years left of eligibility. Without him in the fold, the Wolverines are expected to have a rotation of Derrick Moore and TJ Guy as starters, Cam Brandt and Dom Nichols as immediate backups, and Devon Baxter, Lugard Edokpayi, and perhaps freshman Nate Marshall working in rotation.
Fans will get to see all of the aforementioned, except Marshall, on April 19 in the annual spring game at The Big House.
