Nebraska makes strong impression on Syracuse commit Kamron Wilson

Nebraska football made a strong impression over the weekend on 2026 four-star edge defender Kamron Wilson. The Florida native made his first trip to Nebraska, and it sounds like the Huskers will be able to get him back on campus at a later date.

Wilson committed to Syracuse on March 30 but now appears to be looking elsewhere. He had a strong junior season last year, recording 118 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, and one forced fumble. His play on the field earned him several accolades, including a Miami Herald All-Dade first-team defense nomination.

Florida State also figures to be a major part in his recruitment. Nebraska defensive line coach Terrence Knighton has been an active player in Wilson’s recruitment to the Seminoles, as noted by FSU Wire’s JD McCarthy.

Even still, Wilson likes Nebraska due to the Florida connections within the program. He spoke to Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese about that aspect.

“[I] see why they call it Flobraska everybody from the crib up here”

The Huskers have been making a push in the state of Florida in the last couple classes. Getting Wilson to flip from Syracuse would be a major get for a defense that is stacking talented players.
