OSU football adds Marshall WR Christian Fitzpatrick in transfer portal

STILLWATER — For the second time this spring, Oklahoma State has added more height to its receiver group.

The Cowboys picked up a commitment Monday night from Marshall transfer receiver Christian Fitzpatrick, a 6-foot-4, 217-pound super-senior.

Fitzpatrick began his career at Louisville in 2020 before transferring to Michigan State where he had 272 yards on 22 total catches over three seasons, including a redshirt year.

Last season, he landed at Marshall and turned in the best season of his career with 576 yards and six touchdowns on 34 catches.

Last week, OSU added another tall receiver, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Cam Abshire from Division II Emory & Henry University in Virginia.

Those additions bring the OSU receiver room to 17 total players, six of whom stand 6-foot-2 or taller.
