As the Oklahoma Sooners enter Year 2 in the Southeastern Conference, they’re hoping to make a better second impression than last year’s 6-7 season. That begins with SEC Media Days, which will take place from July 14-17 in Atlanta, Georgia.
With the event still three months away, the SEC released the schedule of appearances for the unofficial beginning of football season.
Head coach Brent Venables enters Year 4 at the helm under heavy pressure and scrutiny, and that will have only intensified by mid-July. Venables and the other OU representatives will take the stage on Day 3 of media days, July 16.
Venables and Oklahoma will be joined that day by Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide, Billy Napier and the Florida Gators, and former offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Accompanying Venables at SEC Media Days last year was the trio of Jackson Arnold, Danny Stutsman, and Bill Bowman. With all three players gone, Oklahoma will have a new group that takes the stage to represent the team in 2025.
