Colorado’s 2026 recruiting class is bare as we near the end of spring camp, but on Wednesday evening Deion Sanders and the Buffs got some welcomed news.
Five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo announced he will take an official visit to Colorado the weekend of May 2. Ojo is the No. 7 overall recruit and the No. 2 tackle in the 2026 class.
The Texas native holds 49 collegiate offers with Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State and Ole Miss also having visits scheduled. The Longhorns seem like the favorite at the moment for one of the top in-state prospects. Ojo has even said that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has called him their “franchise player and the No. 1 player they have to get.”
Ojo is set to visit Ole Miss this weekend, but Colorado will be his second official visit. He told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that the revamped Colorado program has caught his eye.
”I feel like Deion is changing the game over there at Colorado,” Ojo said.
The 6-foot-7, 275-pound tackle would be a major coup for Colorado who continues to target the offensive line help in the transfer portal and with high school recruits. Ojo could form a dominant partnership with freshman All-American Jordan Seaton if he were to choose the Buffaloes.
Ojo would be Colorado’s first commitment to its 2026 class and would mark the second year in a row that Coach Prime and his staff have landed the top offensive tackle in the country, depending on which recruiting outlet you look at. Last year, the Buffs signed only 14 high school prospects, but it did not lack quality as it ranked No. 37 in the country according to 247Sports.
Currently, Ojo will be the highest-rated recruit to schedule a visit with Colorado, but that is likely to change as we head later into the spring and summer. CU will have to beat out in-state favorites Texas for Ojo’s signature, but it is…
