Georgia football DL commit Seven Cloud shuts down his recruitment

The Georgia Bulldogs are already hitting the ground running with their 2026 recruiting class targets. And good news just dropped for Bulldog fans. It seems like they can breathe easy about keeping one of their current commits.

Defensive tackle commit Seven Cloud, who’s considered the top junior college player this year, announced on social media Tuesday that his recruitment is officially over. He’s been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since last December.

Despite a recent unofficial visit to Florida State and plans for official visits to UNC, Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina, those trips might be off the table now, given Cloud’s latest announcement.

From Georgia originally, Cloud actually committed to the University of Georgia right out of high school in 2021. However, his path took him through the JUCO ranks. Now, after a couple of seasons at Butler Community College, he’s finally on track to officially become a Bulldog.

Right now, Georgia’s got six commitments in the 2026 class, and Cloud is the only defensive lineman in that group so far. Their latest addition is safety Kealan Jones, who committed on the same day as Georgia’s spring game. Plus, the Bulldogs are still in the running for some big-name recruits, like No. 1 ranked quarterback Jared Curtis and No. 1 ranked offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell.
