UNC football lands four-star receiver Adrian Wilson from Colorado

The spring portal is officially open in college football. North Carolina and Bill Belichick have already seen almost a dozen players leave for the portal, led by former sack leader Beau Atkinson. However, Belichick is also making waves by bringing people in, this time stealing a wide receiver from Deion Sanders and Colorado.

Adrian Wilson, the cousin of 2023 No. 7 overall pick Tyree Wilson, first committed to TCU in 2023 before getting an offer from Oregon. He decommitted from TCU and committed to Oregon before a deal fell through, and he committed to Colorado. Now, the receiver entered the spring portal and has landed in Chapel Hill with another NFL Hall of Fame coach, Bill Belichick.

Out of high school, Wilson was a four-star recruit. He enrolled in Colorado in December, which is why he had to enter the portal. He received a 90 rating from 247Sports and was ranked as the No. 45 receiver in his class.

In his junior year at Weiss High School in Pflugerville, Texas, he grabbed 60 passes for 1,003 yards and 14 touchdowns. He could potential become the top receiver for Belichick and UNC football dependent on his production and work ethic, but the skills are there.

Wilson will join a receiving corps with Jordan Shipp, Aziah Johnson, and Kobe Paysour. The quarterback situation is still fluid in the Tar Heels camp as Purdue transfer Ryan Browne has re-entered the portal. Bryce Baker is currently the presumed starter as a true freshman. Keep up to date with the Tar Heels’ spring transfer portal decisions.
