Vols offer 2028 wide receiver

Tennessee is looking two years into the future and recruiting for its 2028 football signing class. The Vols offered wide receiver Dedrick Kimbrough a scholarship Wednesday.

“Extremely blessed to receive another offer from the University of Tennessee!!,” Kimbrough announced.

Kimbrough is from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect is not ranked by any recruiting service.

Tennessee joins Missouri, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt as the fourth SEC school to offer Kimbrough. Others to offer him include UAB, Washington, Sacramento State, Penn State, North Carolina, Florida State and Arkansas State.

He received his first offer from Washington on Jan. 16, 2025.

Tennessee does not have any commitments for its 2028 recruiting class. The Vols have eight commitments for 2026: Quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, defensive lineman Tyson Bacon, linebacker Braylon Outlaw and defensive lineman C.J. Edwards.
