La Salle High junior quarterback Gavin Sidwar had plenty of choices of where he’d like to play college football and, on Friday afternoon, he made his choice, selecting Missouri from his long list of suitors.

Sidwar, a Warrington resident, made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) April 18 afternoon.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder, who was named all-state last season, had, according to La Salle head coach Brett Gordon, at least 15 Division Division I-A offers with Ole Miss and UCLA in his final three along with Missouri.

The Tigers went 10-3 last season, including a win over Iowa in the Music City Bowl.

Sidwar, a first-team Courier Times/Intelligencer selection last season, threw for 2,747 yards last season with a school-record 31 touchdowns and just six interceptions in helping to lead the Explorers to a 10-1 record.

Last year, Sidwar committed to play at Rutgers before reopening his recruitment in October.
