Nebraska football to host defensive back Devin Jackson

Nebraska football appears to be in the mix with 2026 four-star defensive back Devon Jackson. Jackson officially backed off his commitment to Florida on Thursday, as the Huskers continue to work to flip him. He is said to visit the program on June 20, per Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese.

This has been a work in progress for Nebraska over the last couple of months. Jackson has been a priority recruit.  The Huskers began to make a push for him when defensive backs coach Addison Williams joined the staff in December.

Jackson is the No. 249 overall player in the country. He is also the No. 40 overall player in the state and the No. 21 overall safety, according to Rivals rankings.

Jackson would be a playmaking safety for the Blackshirts and would give them an athlete with tremendous speed. The defense has a ton of playmakers for the future, and Jackson fits the bill.
