Nebraska football is entering a busy time of year, as spring practices are underway. The spring transfer portal window is also open. Several names have already departed the program as 105-man roster limits take effect.
The Huskers have a logjam at some positions, and that’s certainly the case at wide receiver. Some players have transferred from the program in search of better playing opportunities elsewhere.
Nebraska will hold a scrimmage at the end of spring practice after initially rejecting the idea. Now, the Huskers will have a spring game to give players who may not make the roster one last chance to play in Memorial Stadium or to get on tape for other opportunities. Rhule made the surprising decision on Wednesday night.

The Husker Games will take place on Saturday, April 26, allowing fans to preview Nebraska football, volleyball and soccer teams for the 2025 season. On the football field, the Huskers will feature 7-on-7 games and skills competitions similar to the NFL’s Pro Bowl games.
