Oklahoma Sooners offensive lineman Josh Aisosa has decided to enter the transfer portal, he announced on Friday. The redshirt freshman has four years of eligibility remaining.
Aisosa spent just one season in Norman, and did not appear in any games in 2024. He’s a local product from Edmond Santa Fe High School in Oklahoma and was a three-star prospect. He was 247Sports’ No. 15 player from the state of Oklahoma, and was a backup center for OU a season ago.
Aisosa is the sixth player to enter the transfer portal, joining tight end Davon Mitchell, defensive back Mykel Patterson-McDonald, running back Sam Franklin, defensive back Peter Schuh and defensive back Jocelyn Malaska. The portal will be open until April 25th.
As for Aisosa’s next destination, the 6-3, 331-pound offensive lineman had offers from Iowa State, Tulsa, UNLV, North Texas and Texas State, among others when he was coming out of high school.
The Oklahoma Sooners added interior offensive line depth this week, signing Stanford’s Jake Maikkula. Maikkula has started games at center and guard in his two years at the collegiate level.
