COLUMBIA — South Carolina football’s 2025 spring game gave coach Shane Beamer a chance to see who stepped up in the Aug. 18 contest that capped spring football in Williams-Brice Stadium.

Team Garnet defeated Team Black 10-7 and it was an injury free game. Here are five takeaways from the game.

Sellars didn’t lead his Team Black to scores in the two series he played quarterback. He finished 4-of-7 passing for 53 yards, the longest a 29-yard throw to transfer Jordan Dingle.
Cutter Woods shines in race for South Carolina backup QB spot
The race for the main backup option behind Sellers is wide open.
For Team Black, freshman Cutter Woods threw a 51-yard pass and completed a 75-yard scoring drive his first play of the game. He went 6-of-13 for 120 yards (game-high) and one rushing touchdown in three quarters.
Ohio State transfer QB Air Noland didn’t have the best first half. He threw two underthrown passes and almost a third but veteran WR Vandrevius Jacobs made a diving catch backwards to secure the ball. He was then picked off by Myles Norwood. He went 9-of-16 for 67 yards.
Veteran QB/wide receiver Luke Doty played the first two quarter and finished 10-of-12 passing for 85 yards and a touchdown. Redshirt freshman Dante Reno went 1-of-5 for one yard.
