The transfer portal opened on Wednesday with a flurry of activity. Here are the biggest transfer announcements from day three of the 2025 spring transfer window.

Lavon Johnson from Maryland to UNC to Texas
North Carolina coach Bill Belichick made waves in the transfer portal by signing quarterback Gio Lopez from South Alabama and wide receiver Adrian Wilson from Colorado. It looked as if the Tar Heels were going to continue winning in the portal but those expectations were seemingly too high as Lavon Johnson, who committed to North Carolina on Friday morning, flipped to Texas on Friday evening.

The defensive lineman, who played for Maryland the last two seasons, saw limited playing time for the Terps. But his size and athleticism attracted a lot of attention from college coaches.

Jack Endries from Cal to Texas

Jack Endries saw his stock soaring after a breakout season last year at Cal where he posted 56 catches for 623 yards and two touchdowns. A former preferred walk-on for the Bears, Endries entered the transfer portal on Wednesday and was quickly one of the most popular players available.
His first visit was to Texas and he didn’t get out of Austin without committing to the Longhorns, capping off a big day for head coach Steve Sarkisian and company.
