Robinson played in 11 games last season, recording 17 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He is the second Florida player to transfer this spring.Florida’s defensive line will now rely on a rotation of returning players and new additions.
Florida football sophomore defensive lineman D’Antre Robinson is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.
A former Orlando Jones HS standout, the 6-foot-3, 303-pound Robinson was expected to have an increased role on the Florida Gators’ defensive line after appearing in 11 games as a freshman. Robinson finished the season with 17 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
“Pleased with D’Antre,” Florida defensive line coach Gerald Chatman said during spring drills last month. “Think he’s a tough kid, great kid to have around the program. He cares about his teammates. He has a skill set — he’s twitched up.”
The FBS spring transfer portal window opened on April 16 and closes on Friday. Robinson is the second transfer defection from UF during the spring period, joining sophomore safety Gregory Smith III.
Without Robinson, Florida will rely on a defensive tackle rotation that includes returning senior Caleb Banks, sophomore Michai Boireau, JUCO transfer Brein Taylor Jr., incoming freshman Stephon Shivers and junior Jamari Lyons, who is coming off a broken foot that sidelined him for the 2024 season.
