WATCH: Here’s what Mike Norvell said about NCAA transfer portal
Mike Norvell gives his thoughts on Tuesday’s spring practice. Here’s what he said afterward.
Florida State football landed its first commitment in the spring transfer portal window.
Houston defensive back Jeremiah Wilson has committed to the Seminoles program following a visit on Friday, according to 247Sports.
A Kissimmee native, Wilson recorded 16 tackles, four interceptions and four pass breakups in his junior season with the Cougars.
This will be Wilson’s third school, however, he will reunite with a familiar face in defensive coordinator Tony White. Wilson spent a year at Syracuse in White’s defense after he recruited him to the Orange.
Wilson, a 5-foot-10 185 185-pound defensive back, is ranked as a 4-star transfer prospect by 247Sports.
Defensive back was a position of need for the Seminoles, and by bringing in Wilson, it gives the program depth in a key area, and likely a player who can compete for a starting role.
