Nebraska football hosts NDSU Bison running back CharMar Brown

Nebraska football is pushing hard in their pursuit of North Dakota State running back CharMar Brown, and a new update may be a positive one for the program.

Brown visited the Huskers on Thursday and met with three important Nebraska coaches. The running back visited with head coach Matt Rhule, offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen, and running backs coach E.J. Barthel.

Brown was on his way back from his Miami visit on Wednesday night and was in Nebraska Thursday morning. He has been a hot commodity throughout this transfer cycle.

He recorded 1.181 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns in 16 games. He won the Jerry Rice Award, which is given to the top freshman in the FCS. Now, he is looking to get an opportunity on a bigger stage.

The Huskers could certainly use running back depth behind Emmett Johnson. Kwinten Ives and Mehki Nelson are certainly players with high potential. However, Brown’s experience could help elevate this running back room in a big way.
