As Round 2 of the NFL draft raged on, Penn State secured an addition of its own.
The Nittany Lions landed a commitment from class of 2026 offensive tackle Roseby Lubintus on Friday evening, giving them a 13th commitment in the class.
Lubintus is currently unranked by 247 Sports, On3 and ESPN, though he holds 3-star status from Rivals. He’ll likely be given a ranking by the other services shortly.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Lubintus already holds ideal size and weight for a college offensive tackle. For reference, Penn State senior left tackle Drew Shelton is currently listed at 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds, while Lubintus nearly matches that as a junior at Timber Creek High School.
The Nittany Lions were quick to recognize Lubintus’ talent, becoming the first Division I school to offer him on March 16, 2024. Lubintus subsequently gathered offers from schools like West Virginia, Syracuse, Michigan State, Florida and Maryland.
Lubintus took official visits to the Orange, Nittany Lions and Spartans this summer, leading up to his decision to commit to Penn State.
The Nittany Lions’ 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 6 nationally per the 247 Sports composite rankings, though it may move up once Lubintus receives his star rating.
