Delaware Blue Hens’ football schedule for debut in FBS, Conference USA
Blue Hens to play first CUSA game at Florida International, face Western Kentucky in first league home game
The Blue Hens’ seemingly deep stable of quarterbacks has expanded.
Riley Trujillo, who didn’t play in any games as a freshman at Central Florida last year, announced on social media April 29 he is transferring to Delaware.
UCF did not hold an intrasquad game at the conclusion of spring drills. The Knights are once again being coached by Scott Frost, who led UCF in 2016 and 2017 before spending five years at Nebraska and did not recruit Trujillo.

The dual-threat Trujillo completed 231 of 408 passes for 3,459 yards with 28 touchdowns and nine interceptions in his last two high school seasons.
He also rushed for 1,429 yards and nine TDs in those two seasons.
Trujillo will join a UD quarterback crew led by Zach Marker and Nick Minicucci, who have each started games the last two years. It also features Braden Streeter, who threw for a touchdown on his first collegiate pass last year, and newest recruit E.J. Archield Jr., who debuted in the recent spring intrasquad game. Delaware already also has a high school Class of 2026 verbal commit from quarterback Lamar Best of St. Joseph Regional in New Jersey.
