Donovan Edwards included in CBS Sports all-undrafted team

While it may have been fodder for rival fans that Michigan football running back Donovan Edwards didn’t get drafted this past weekend into the NFL, many of those same fans have players who were thought to be surefire draft picks who found themselves in the same boat.

That led to an idea for CBS Sports’ Shehan Jeyarajah — what would an all-undrafted team look like?

Naturally, Jeyarajah had Edwards — who graced the cover of EA Sports College Football 25 after a solid performance in the previous year’s national championship game — as one of his two running backs and the star of the show (the article is titled ‘2025 All-Undrafted Team: Michigan’s Donovan Edwards, All-American LBs headline high-profile NFL Draft snubs’).

Here’s what he had to say about the former Wolverine:

RB: Donovan Edwards (Michigan)

Edwards was one the cover of “College Football 25” for a reason after breaking off a College Football Playoff championship-winning run for Michigan against Washington. Seemingly healthy heading into 2024, he instead mustered only 589 yards for one of the worst offenses in the country.

There were plenty of other college football stars who didn’t hear their names called who ended up on the list: Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond, Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin, Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant, and Oregon cornerback Jabbar Muhammad, among others.

Edwards will still have his chance as he signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets.
