Michigan football only brought in one edge rusher in 2025 in Nate Marshall, and has three-star Tariq Boney committed in 2026. But the Wolverines are looking to get an elite defensive end committed elsewhere to consider coming to Ann Arbor.
2026 Carson (Calif.) Leuzinger four-star edge rusher Samu Moala has been committed to Texas A&M since late October, but according to On3, the Wolverines are one of the schools that is making a push and is hoping to get him on campus sometime this summer.

Michigan football recruiting is only now starting to heat up with the bulk of the class likely being built in June and July after the official visits have wrapped up. Such is often the case, with the 2024 class being an exception.
The Wolverines have a few solid edge rushers who are entering their second year, including Dom Nichols — who is expected to be a standout this year — as well as Devon Baxter and Lugard Edokpayi.
