Ole Miss football coach flips Izayia Williams from Florida

OXFORD — A four-star prospect in the 2026 class is leaving his home state to play for Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss football.

Izayia Williams committed to Ole Miss on May 2. He announced his decision via social media. Williams is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker from Tavares, Florida, who was previously committed to play for the Gators.

His list of offers includes Alabama, Georgia and Florida State.

Williams is the No. 3 linebacker in the 247Sports composite rankings for 2026. He is the No. 6 player from Florida.

Williams has a background in basketball and track. Williams played in the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game and racked up seven tackles. It was tied for sixth-most all time in the game.

Ole Miss has six players committed in the 2026 recruiting class. Williams is the first four-star player. He is the second defensive player behind three-star cornerback Braylen Williams.
