STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football has found a quarterback for its 2026 recruiting class.
Brodie McWhorter, a three-star from Cartersville, Georgia, announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on an Instagram livestream from Cass High School on May 1. He chose them over finalists Colorado and Indiana.
McWhorter also had Wisconsin and Auburn in his top five before narrowing the list down on April 29.
He’s the third quarterback to commit to coach Jeff Lebby since he was hired after the 2023 season. MSU signed Noxubee County four-star Kamario Taylor in the 2025 recruiting class, while 2024 prospect Michael Van Buren Jr. transferred to LSU.

McWhorter, listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, is rated as a three star, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s ranked at No. 498 nationally, the No. 27 quarterback and No. 57 player in Georgia.
