4-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt announces commitment

The Oregon Ducks missed out on a big recruit on Sunday afternoon, with 4-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt announcing his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Dixon-Wyatt is rated by 247Sports as the No. 59 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 6 wide receiver. As a player at Mater Dei in California, Dixon-Wyatt was a major target for Oregon, but they were unable to get him in the end.

At Ohio State, Dixon-Wyatt joins a program that is among the best in the nation when it comes to developing wide receivers. Dixon-Wyatt will also join his fellow Mater Dei teammate, 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr., with the Buckeyes in the 2026 class.

Losing a local recruit like Dixon-Wyatt is tough for Oregon, but they will have a couple of chances to make up for it over the next two weeks. On Monday, 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 1 QB in the 2026 class, will announce his commitment between the Ducks and the Georgia Bulldogs. After that, on May 13, 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1 player in the 2026 class, will announce his commitment beetween the Ducks, Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Getting Dixon-Wyatt in the fold would be a nice precursor to those major commitment decisions coming down the pipeline, but the Ducks could still be fine should they land either of the 5-star players later this month.
