The Wisconsin Badgers offered Nebraska transfer offensive lineman Grant Seagren on Thursday. This was reported by multiple media outlets.
Seagren joined Nebraska as a walk-on in 2023 after playing tight end and defensive line at the high school level. He redshirted his first year but played more in 2024. All told, he appeared in seven games, playing both the left and right tackle positions.
Since entering the transfer portal, Seagren has received a lot of interest. He has received offers from Rutgers, Kentucky, and Washington State, in addition to Wisconsin. Wisconsin could be a fit for him, as they lost left tackle Kevin Haywood to an ACL injury during spring practice.
It is certainly interesting that Seagren has been coveted by several teams ever since he departed from the Huskers. He measures six feet six inches and weighs 305 pounds, and he could be an asset to any team. His ability to play on both sides of the football could afford him unique opportunities.
