Notre Dame target Jerry Outhouse wins Rivals Camp DB MVP honors

Notre Dame football is on a great run in the 2026 recruiting class, and the momentum they are building is bleeding into the 2027 cycle as well.

One of the Irish’s top cornerback targets, Texas’ Jerry Outhouse Jr., took home the Dallas Rivals Camp defensive back MVP honors over the weekend. The 6-foot, and 175-pound defender is already nationally ranked, checking in as the No. 73 overall player in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

He was one of many 2027 prospect to receive a scholarship on “Pot of Gold Day,” showing him that Notre Dame is extremely interested in having him on campus for three-to-five years. The Irish are building momentum in his home state, as on Saturday they received a commitment from 2026 running back Javian Osborne.

It won’t be an easy recruiting battle to win, as Rivals points out that he’s also high on Texas A&M, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. Regardless of who is the competition, Notre Dame is riding high on the recruiting trail and should continue to use its momentum to its advantage.
